Suspensions of Normal Educational Operations at U.S. Colleges

NOTE: Check back regularly for updates, as educators’ responses to COVID-19 are evolving as quickly as the virus evolves.

Last Updated: March 18, 2020 at 12:27 am PST

The following is a partial list of universities where administrators have suspended in-person classes and are directing faculty to transition all instruction online, as changes are happening rapidly.

Additionally, the suspension of normal university operations is also affecting prospective students who will (or have already) received acceptances for Fall 2020 to visit campuses during Spring Break or for special newly admitted student programs. Wherever possible, information about visitors no longer allowed on campus or events are cancelled, is also included in the table below.

Since non-essential travel of staff and faculty at the universities listed in the table below has been suspended, regional admisisons receptions, high school visits and other off-campus admissions events are likely cancelled.
