California’s high school seniors (and increasingly non-Californian high school seniors) will be eating turkey, yams and mashed potatoes and gravy in the glow of a computer screen, as they complete their University of California (UC) applications. Any parent who believes that Thanksgiving will be an incentive to finish college applications early will be sorely disappointed. In fifteen years, 85% of our clients submit their applications in the last 1-3 days before a deadline, and 5-10% in the last hours before the 11:59 pm (PST) deadline on Thursday, November 30, 2017.
Plan accordingly.
And, with realistic expectations, you’ll avoid the eye-rolling, door-slamming “discussions” when tempted to ask, “When are you going to be done?”
